The wedding will take place on Kvitsøy, the place where Jill grew up. It's a small island in the southwest of Norway. On Friday evening there will be a koselig/gezellig get-together so guests from Norway, The Netherlands, and other places can get to know each other in a low key setting.
On Saturday we will continue with the official program (more details later).

Accommodations
Kvitsøy is a small island with a limited amount of guest accommodation. We ask everybody to, where possible, stay with friends and family. Guests that are travelling in from outside the area, separate information about accommodation has been sent to you, if you have not received anything please reach out to us.
Travel
To get to Kvitsøy you'll need to take a ferry. There are two options to choose from: Unfortunately the timetables are only available in Norwegian, but we´re sure Google translate can help :)
This (car)ferry goes everyday. Multiple times per day. Mekjarvik is about a 15min drive (or 40 min bus ride) from Stavanger city center.
This ferry only goes once per day on Mon-Fri. Note: On Fridays (code 5), the boat has a different schedule from the other days. Click the link to see the timetable for more information.
If you are travelling in from Sola airport, the easiest ways to get to these ferries is by bus or taxi.
Getting around on Kvitsøy
The sleeping accommodations are right next to where the ferry docks. There are no buses or taxis on the island but everything is pretty much within walking distance, just check Google Maps. We will try to arrange a small shuttle that will take guests to the wedding location on the day.

A: Please RSVP by March 1st, 2026
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: The ceremony begins at 2:00 pm, so no later than 1:30 pm.
Q: Where should I park?
A: Parking at the location is limited, so we recommend you to leave your car at home.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Formal, but leave the black tie at home.
Q: Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?
A: White!
Q: Are kids invited?
A: This will be an adult-only celebration. A well-deserved night off for the parents!
Q: Can I bring a +1?
A: As much as we´d love to celebrate with everyone (and their partners), our guest list is limited. Invitations are for the people listed by name only.
Q: What will the weather be like?
A: No tropical climate. Kvitsøy in June usually has temperatures around 15°C during the day and cooler evenings. It can get windy at times. Keep an eye on the weather forecast.
Q: Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?
A: Both! The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, while dinner and the party will be held indoors.
Q: Will there be dancing?
A: Absolutely! Our DJ is all set to light up the dance floor. So bring your best moves, your party spirit, and maybe a spare pair of shoes.
Q: Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
A: Yes, absolutely! But please do not post any pictures of the bride and groom on social media. You are more than welcome to share other photos from the wedding.
A little note on gifts
Your presence at the wedding is the best present we could ask for. However if you wish to make a contribution to our honeymoon that would be greatly appreciated.
